Seven Stories
private thoughts | public places
Excerpts from a series of interviews about childhood memories are printed on common objects, replacing a commercial message with a unexpected personal one. The messages intervene between the viewer/user and the intended action: drinking coffee in a coffee shop, buying bread in a bakery, or wiping ones’ hands in a restaurant. The intent of the project is to engage the viewer in a dialogue about contemporary American culture, using the past to provide insights on how we see the present.
