The Gates: A Video
The Gates is a three and a half minute movie about my visit to Christo and Jeanne-Claude’s installation in Central Park, during February 2005. The early stage photographs came from a book, Christo and Jeanne-Claude: The Gates: Central Park, New York City, 1979-2005, which provided a historical perspective on the project. Otherwise, my colleague, Yan Zu includes
a few and I took the rest. The music is from Yo Yo Ma’s Obrigado Brazil called 1 x 0 (um a Zero). And the text is entirely my own. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as I enjoyed making it.
